While Angelica may not be a household name yet in the United States, she has been turning heads on the international level for years. Being from Moldova, a small country in Eastern Europe, has not kept this talented singer from popping up all over and gaining worldwide acclaim everywhere she performs. Angelica, 22, is classically trained, which gives her a clear understanding of the fundamentals of songwriting and live performance. As a student at the Music University of Bucharest, Romania, she has combined her love for pop music and her training in traditional Romanian to create her own sound.

 

 

 

“I’m just so thankful to everyone who is supporting me. Especially to my friends on YouTube,” Angelica says, explaining how important the Internet has been to catapulting her exposure across the globe. She has been able to tally more than 6 million views on YouTube in only a year.

Angelica understands what it takes to be a successful musician today. She has won national and international competitions as both a singer and songwriter. Coming out to Los Angels will be a huge accomplishment and offer new experiences in the music world that she can build on and grow from, as she will have the opportunity to get personal feedback from one of her favorite producers, Rodney Jerkins. “Getting feedback from someone who has worked with my idols is just amazing,” she said about Jerkins, who will be judging each finalist’s performance. Advancing to the Music Mogul finals is not only a chance at making a big splash in America, but it will also be the realization of one of her biggest dreams: going to California to perform on the ultimate stage. This girl has the total package, and she just keeps getting better and better.
